She wants to love but a long life of betrayal left her heart hidden.
She stands in the doorway but unable to enter.
She can hear the beating of her own heart but her legs wont let her move.
She can be held but not embraced.
She can kiss but only with trembling lips.
She can speak but never tell the truth of her fears.
The chains that bind her are so tight that she feels she will never break free.
She meets someone that doesn’t see her.
She speaks to him but isn’t heard.
She reaches for him but falls short of grasping his arm.
He turns and they stand face to face, at first no words are spoken then he asks where have you been?
She replies, Always here.
Moral: Sometimes you find what you need when no-one is really looking.
