Marilyn Monroe was an American actress, model, and singer. Famous for playing comic “blonde bombshell” characters, she became one of the most popular sex symbols of the 1950s and early 1960s and was emblematic of the era’s changing attitudes towards sexuality.

I see her photo’s and read her stories, and some are so touching while others leave you breathless.
Her death came to early and to sudden, I’m so glad this beauty was among us even if it was for a short time. She set paths for others to follow if they only find them.
Marilyn Monroe overcame a difficult childhood to become one of the world’s biggest and most enduring sex symbols. Her films grossed more than $200 million. She is known for her relationships with Arthur Miller, Joe DiMaggio and, possibly, John F. Kennedy, at age 36 she was taken from us. The reason for this tragedy is said to be an overdose, but there are many questions surrounding what may have really happened.
Monroe was born on June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles, California, as Norma Jeane Mortenson. From that time forward her life began a spiral from foster homes and orphanages. She told the story of how she was sexually abused and even raped at a very young age.
By 1953, Monroe was one of the most marketable Hollywood stars, on August 4, 1962, she was found dead at her home in California.

Many try to be an icon she simply was.
