Worst Winter Photography

Some of these are before during and soon after but It was one of the coldest winters with tones of snow and a sever ice storm.

It’s hard to express how hard this winter of 2009 really was!

Needless to say, during most of it I wasn’t able to get photos

It impacted Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky, over 2 million people suffered power outage.

The storm took 65 lives, 35 of which were from Kentucky

Some were without power for over a week.

The lowest temps recoded were -35° with 2.5inches of ice and 13 inches of snow!

The pictures I was able to take DO NOT give even a close idea of how bad it was.

Then the storm past and others like myself got out for the first time in what seemed like forever.

The sun came out and began melting away any evidence of what mother nature brought us that year.

NOT a good photo, but this is one of the first things I saw the day I got out.

The rivers and streams began to thaw and then overflowed as the snow and ice slowed disappeared.
